The design of this platform was based on several observations. Firstly, there is a lot of misinformation circulating about the covid19 pandemic and it was important to set up a reliable local information channel. One of the challenges in stopping the pandemic is to be able to find all the people who have been in contact with all the confirmed cases of covid19 infection. Hence the idea of setting up an application to track and trace any person who has been close to a confirmed case of covid19 infection by less than one meter during the period when that person was contagious.
